Experience: One of the top 40 women in MICE 2017. With a passion for performing arts, Yolandi pursued a Dramatic Arts degree from Wits University. Extending into corporate theatre, BTL advertising and marketing, Yolandi has gained valuable experience while working at FCB, The Brand Union and Unplugged. In 2012, she started her own event and activation agency, and partnered with TS&A Events in 2016. Yolandi is a founding board member of Creatives First – a full service financial co-operative aimed at the creative and cultural industries. She is very skilled in creative concept development, programme and project management, operating fluently in the creative and marketing sectors.
Interests: Yolandi is a lover of music and all things creative.
Only human… Yolandi once did a karaoke version of a Dolly Parton song that she’d sooner forget!
Managing Director and Shareholder of TS&A Events
Experience: With over 20 years in event management, Terry is a master at what she does. Starting with a career in the motor industry, selling BMWs, Terry has owned her own successful executive car business – Sutherlands Executive Cars. Joining VWV Studios in 1994 as Account Director, Terry quickly worked her way up the ranks, becoming a board member and shareholder in 1995. She left VWV in 2003 to start her own agency, Terry Sutherland and Associates (TS&A Events), and has never looked back! With the added knowledge she has gained from founding and running The RSVP Agency concurrently, Terry is an industry leader in event management, as shown by her Women in MICE award in 2014.
Interests: Terry loves animals, travelling and (when she has time) cooking.
Only human… She once drove her car into the swimming pool at Ulusaba Game Lodge!
Production Manager and Shareholder of TS&A Events
Experience: While studying Civil Engineering, Maxwell was spotted by a model scout and signed by the Storm Modelling Agency. He has appeared on many billboards and TV adverts, as well as working on corporate campaigns. Maxwell has worked abroad on various modelling campaigns and has experience as a brand ambassador for Camel and Ford. Starting as a promoter, Maxwell later opened his own promotions and events company. Adding his unique experience to the mix at TS&A Events, he still models part-time for Boss Models International.
Interests: Max is a family man who loves gym.
Only human… As a vegan and absolute health fanatic, Max throws a spanner in the works on set, when all there is to eat is burgers and KFC!
Head of Projects and Shareholder at TS&A Events
Experience: Sue joined the VWV Group in 2001 as a project manager and within 5 years, was promoted to Senior Producer. Working on massive events and campaigns, Sue gained valuable insights into the eventing world. Since joining TS&A Events in 2006 as Head of Projects, she has managed many successful events with precision and professionalism. Sue has an unerring ability to exceed client expectation while staying within budget and maintaining trusting and enduring client relationships. Technical conceptualisation from start to finish is Sue’s forte, with admirable team management skills. Sue was awarded the Women in MICE award in 2016 for her achievements in the event industry.
Interests: Sue’s special interest is travelling to weird and wonderful places – seeking out adventure and experiencing diverse cultures and wonders of the world.
